Journalism

My reporting, interviews, and analysis focus on human rights, migration, and the Arab world, with particular attention to the Levant. I am interested not only in what happens, but also in the historical, political, and social contexts that make events intelligible. My work has appeared in international and Swiss media and has included reporting, long-form interviews, analysis, multimedia journalism, and editorial projects in Arabic and English.

Media training

I design and deliver practical, context-sensitive training for journalists, students, editors, civil society organizations and media institutions. My approach combines editorial practice, critical reflection and participatory learning.

Having trained and mentored more than 300 journalists, I create learning environments in which participants can examine professional routines, strengthen their skills and reflect critically on representation, ethics and power in journalism.
